The Storytellers Wedding Co. · Last updated August 2026
This policy explains how The Storytellers Wedding Co. ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We are a wedding photography and film studio based in Camden, New South Wales, working across Australia and internationally.
When you complete an enquiry form on this site, we collect the details you enter. Depending on the form, this includes your name, email address, phone number, wedding date, venue or location, the coverage you are interested in, and your budget range. You choose what to tell us, though we need enough to check your date and reply.
If you book a call, you also provide scheduling details through our booking tool.
Like most websites, ours collects some technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived (including which ad or link you clicked), and how long you stay. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Some of this information can be linked to you as an individual by the platforms that provide it, particularly where you are signed in to a Google or Meta account. We ourselves see it mainly in aggregate.
Our site loads the following third-party services, each of which may set cookies or receive your IP address:
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Measures how the site is used, and records when an enquiry is submitted. |
| Meta (Facebook) pixel | Measures the performance of our advertising and lets us reach similar audiences. |
| 123FormBuilder | Hosts and processes our enquiry forms. |
| Vimeo | Hosts the films embedded on our pages. We enable Vimeo's "do not track" setting on these embeds. |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces used on the site, which discloses your IP address to Google. |
| Google Calendar | Powers the call booking tool on our confirmation page. |
| Our web host | Our hosting provider adds its own basic traffic measurement script to pages it serves. |
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not affect your ability to send us an enquiry.
We do not currently display a cookie consent banner. If you are visiting from a region that requires one, please see "Visitors from outside Australia" below.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked us to or enquired with us, and every one of them includes an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only with the service providers we use to run our business, and only so they can perform that service for us. These include our form provider, email and customer management platforms, cloud storage and gallery delivery services, our analytics and advertising platforms, and our web host. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
Where we engage a second shooter, videographer or editor to work on your wedding, they receive only the details needed to do that work.
Several of the providers above store or process data outside Australia, most commonly in the United States and the European Union. By using this site and submitting an enquiry, you consent to your information being handled overseas by these providers. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers who are contractually bound to protect your information.
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you do not book, for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you book us, we keep your booking and delivery records for as long as we need them to provide and support your wedding coverage, and afterwards for the period required by our tax and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
If you book us, the images and footage we capture at your wedding are personal information about you and your guests. We will always ask you before using them publicly, such as in our portfolio, on social media, or in advertising. You can decline, and you can change your mind later.
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing. Email hello@storytellersweddingcollective.com and we will action it promptly, and within 30 days at the latest.
You can also opt out of the tracking described above directly:
Your information is held by our service providers on secured systems, and access is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.
We advertise to and work with couples outside Australia, including in the United States. Our practices are built around Australian privacy law. If you are in a region with additional rights, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have further rights over your data, including rights to access, port, restrict or object to its processing. Contact us at the address above and we will honour those rights.
This site is intended for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published here, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
